Isabel expanded her diet, decreased nocturnal bowel movements and improved her relationship with food and her body
Before working with Brittany, I was restricting my diet, was being woken in the night for multiple trips to the bathroom and had moderate stress levels. Previous experience and hospitalization due to my Crohns made me fearful of expanding my diet beyond low fiber.
Making the decision to work with Brittany and make an investment in my long-term health and well-being is the best decision I have made and one I will cherish. Brittany is not only friendly and relatable, but professional and supports her advice with scientific research.
She has guided me to incorporate more fruit and vegetable variety back into my diet and I am as comfortable with my relationship with food as I have ever been. I am no longer restricting foods and am enjoying all of the foods that I used to crave when I was restricting them from my diet.
As a result, I feel I am no longer restricting my body of the nutrition it needs, I am no longer getting up for multiple night time bathroom trips, and have gained energy that is sustained throughout the day.
Although I was a sad to finish the program, I have finished feeling the best I probably have in years, maybe even pre-diagnosis. I am less stressed, have more energy, and a better relationship with food and my body.
For me, my relationship with food, and the lack of nutrition that came with that, was my main reason for working with Brittany. But I got so much more out of the program than that.
Brittany has helped me to better understand the high-risk factors for IBD patients, food nutrition and lab results. Most of all our work on stress management has been the largest benefit from the program.
I have started meditation and stress management activities on a regular basis and it has significantly reduced my day-to-day stress and anxiety.
Overall, I don't think I can thank Brittany enough for her guidance and support. Although I was a sad to finish the program, I have finished feeling the best I probably have in years, maybe even pre-diagnosis. I am less stressed, have more energy, and a better relationship with food and my body.
